Account book, 1764-1772.

This account book records the purchases of Samuel Hale from 1764-1772. Because items were acquired in large quantities, they were presumably intended for resale. The majority of items are dry-goods and various notions: thread, ribbons, buckles, etc. Other objects frequently mentioned include necklaces, knives, ink, "delph ware," and japanned snuff boxes. Most goods were purchased from Boston, MA firms. The engraved cover depicting two ladies and a gentleman bears the caption, "Paisan et Paisannes de la Paroisse de Mora en Dale carlie Province. Septentrile de Suede."
